Specialties & Comments:
I met Lou around 1991-92 while playing in a local heavy metal band
known as Psychosis. The slogan on our t-shirts was "The
best in psychotic metal... and then some." Neither of us
came up with that slogan, and both of us are glad that we've moved
on to other pastures. After Psychosis, Lou and I stayed in touch
and performed together occasionally. Lou moved to Florida to go
to school, and when Mandala was recorded we managed to collaborate on some
of the lead guitar and vocal work.
Lou graduated Cum Laude from Florida State University with a Bachelor's
of Music degree in 2002 and is currently pursuing his Master's in
Music Composition. He is a prolific sound-smith, a gifted instrumentalist
and an evocative vocalist who is trying to represent the universality
of life on this planet through his art. Lou has made the realization
that he is on a spiritual journey and is attempting to discover
what the true nature of humanity is and how to go about actualizing
that nature in the most profound and helpful way he can by conquering
fear, challenging himself and embracing the cyclical and amazing
process that he believes life is. All insights that anyone may have
are welcome...
House Project - As of Summer 2003, Lou was
living in Tallahassee, FL playing bass in a group called House
Project. They play symphonically conceived original material in
a rock format. Their first album is an exploration of a suburban
house through music and metaphor and is in the process of being
recorded.
Mr. Pink - Lou also plays lead guitar
in a cover band called Mr. Pink (Tarrantino reference) that is
currently touring the Southeast one weekend at a time.
Classical Guitar - Lou is spending time working on classical
repertoire for a classical guitar recital at some undisclosed
time.
His Quest - At midnight and in his spare time you might
find Lou crawling through water drains, chatting with strangers
in Central Park or reading Joseph Campbell on his own version
of the Hero's Quest.
