The
Compleat Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)
The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg
Theatre program announces its cast for the fall semester production
of The Compleat Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged). Written
by Adam Long, Daniel Singer, and Jess Winfield (formerly known as
the Reduced Shakespeare Company), the play presents all 37 plays
of Shakespeare’s in two hours or less—guaranteed!
Originally done with only three actors, faculty director
Stephen A. Schrum has cast
nine student actors, promising that it will be “three times
the fun of the original.”
The cast for the production is as follows: Jonathan
Bliss, Danielle Brady, Brandon Ferrari, Alison James, Ashley King,
Marylou Kunkle, Dave McVicker, Rachael Ruhl, and Kaitlyn Wittig.
Sound design for this production will be by Jeremy
dePrisco, Bloomsburg area composer and producer. This is dePrisco's
second production of Compleat Wrks, the first being with Dr. Schrum
at PSU Hazleton campus in 1996. Schrum and dePrisco like to harness
technology, and the Internet has played a key role in reviewing
drafts of musical pieces.
Compleat Works will be performed on November
17, 18 and 19 at 8:00pm in UPG’s Ferguson Theater. Tickets
(available at the door only) are $6 regular, $3 students/seniors,
