The message "You are more than you can
feel or see..." closes Jeremy dePrisco's CD, MANDALA,
and that message aptly expresses the persona of this jack-of-all-trades
songwriter. Jeremy has performed as a soloist and in a
variety of ensembles throughout Pennsylvania and parts
of WV and NY. He has appeared several times on radio programs
such as George Graham's Homegrown Music on WVIA FM in Northeastern
PA.
In 1998, Jeremy founded his web site, MINDSPEAK.COM
to showcase his collaborations within the rock, pop, folk
and theatre music genres. Since then, Jeremy has composed
and released four albums of original music: Mandala (1999),
Cadillacs & Tarantulas (2002), Bloomsburg
to Bangladesh (2004) and Immaculate
Misconceptions (2006). Jeremy currently
studies intercultural communications at Bloomsburg University.
Part of this study includes exploring the music of other
cultures.
Jeremy currently offers listeners two distinct
listening experiences: American folk-blues & roots,
and East/West fusion. Both presentations are distinctly
different and designed for different audiences. Jeremy
sets the example for musicians young and old with a strict
anti-drug policy, "do it yourself" ethic, and
a surprising amount of humility. Jeremy has purposely put
himself against the typical "sex, drugs, and rock
n roll" image and is fighting on the lighter side
for spirit and truth in music.
