Audio Portfolio
For those who want to see the breadth and depth of my work, from my original days recording with cassette 4-tracks, to today's latest digital technology, here are some samples of past work. Warning: Some of this is rather rough (technically and artistically), but many find these interesting. For the more "main stream" material, check out my individual album pages.

It's May Day! © 1995 Dendler Music; Arrangement by J. dePrisco (2000)
This song was recorded for Town & Country Day School for their May Day presentation. It gave me a chance to work with MIDI and digital audio together, using the sync capabilities of Cakewalk and the Roland VS-1680.

Children of Light (© 2000 Music & Lyrics J.dePrisco)
This song demonstrates the full capability of my project studio. This is a rough mix recorded using MIDI sequencing between Cakewalk and the Roland 1680. Composition tools included Jammer, Acid Music, Cakewalk and soundfonts. Non-computer tracks include voice, distorted electric guitar, clean electric guitar, and acoustic guitar. The storyline for this song evolved spontaneously during the recording process, and is still under development. It draws from my interest in science fiction, combined with my interest in Buddhism. Kind of like Dr. Who Dharma....

The Sound Will Save You (Real Audio 56kps) (© 2001 J. dePrisco & S. Sanjana)
This song is an international collaboration with India vocalist Sandhya Sanjana. This song is part of her Tarana Project series of internet collaborations. After recording the groove and chord structure with Acid Pro, I used Cakewalk to add several MIDI tracks. Then I sent a loop to Sandhya for her to add vocal ideas. After receiving her vocals, I put together this draft. The current version has lyrics which I added recently. Not sure what I think of them yet.
